Temples at Kumbhalgarh Fort Rajasthan, India - A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Did you know there are about 350+ temples within the Kumbhalgarh Fort and most are ancient Jain temples with a few Hindu temples.

You will find NeelKanth Mahadeva temple on the eastern side of the fort built during the 15th century. It is believed that Maharana Kumbha would start his day by offering prayers to the monolithic soaring shivling made out of black kasoti stone - and local folklore says that Rana was so tall that when he sat to pray his eyes were at the same level as that of the shivling. The Parsvanatha Jain Temple was built in the early 16 century and is found on the eastern side.
