Jama Masjid at Pavagadh Complex in Champaner, Gujarat, India (4) - A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Jami Masjid or Jama Masjid is a part of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Sultan Mahmud Begada has distinctive carvings all over the mosque especially the ceiling, multiple prayer halls separated by its 172 pillars. Sultan Mahmud Begada built a separate prayer hall for the royals separated from the main area by stone jalis. One can find a Zenana enclosure orwomens enclosure for praying which is also separated off with a screen.
