Church of St. Francis of Assisi was first completed in 1521 and was rebuilt multiple times since. The main chapel has several paintings on the life of St. Francis of Assisi and a large gilded altarpiece dating from c.1670 with a picture of Jesus on the cross embracing with one arm Francis Xavier. The floor of the church, like many churches of Goa, has graves with inscriptions and coats.
