Sculpted panel on Mara's Temptation, Ajanta Cave 26, Maharashtra, India
Cave 26 has a large sculpted panel (this frame is only partial one) depicting the legend called the 'Temptations by Mara'.
You will find the sensual Mara's daughters trying to distract the meditating Buddha. Mara's army is sculpted on both the left and right side of the panel threatening Buddha with violence.
On the top right corner of the actual panel is the image of a frustrated Mara as he accepts his failure as he couldn't succeed in breaking ascetic Buddha's focus or resolve.
