Le Corbusier Open Hand Monument at Chandigarh, India

The Open Hand Monument is located in Sector 1 in the Capitol Complex of Chandigarh, with Himalayan Shivalik hill range as a backdrop. The Open Hand Monument is around 85 feet high and towers between the assembly on the left side and the high court on the right side. 

The Open Hand Monument is a symbolic structure designed by the architect Le Corbusier and symbolizes "the hand to give and the hand to take; peace and prosperity, and the unity of mankind".
