Lavaux Vineyards, Lake Geneva, Switzerland

Lavaux is a UNESCO recognized world heritage site with hectares of terraced vineyards stretching for about 30 km located right on the shores of Lake Léman.

Lavaux can be reached via many train journeys starting from Lausanne, Pully, Vevey, or Montreux.

There are hourly regional train starting from Vevey station to Puidoux-Chexbres - offering an unusual train ride across the terraced vineyards of the Lavaux. From Chexbres-Village station there are many footpaths through the magnificent, steep terraces offering an oppotunity to explore on foot. Other train options are Lavaux Panoramic or Lavaux Express.
