Red Wattled Lapwing at Keoladeo National Park is a large plover and a wader with a characteristic loud alarm call that indicates human or animal movements.

Red Wattled Lapwings are seen in pairs or small flocks that are not far from water - and being ground birds they are incapable of perching.

Lapwings feed during the day and at times in the night - their diet includes a snails, invertebrates and many insects.
