Jama Masjid at Pavagadh Complex in Champaner, Gujarat, India (2) - A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Jami Masjid is considered to be one of finest mosques of Gujarat a gigantic structure of its times with two imposing minars on either side of the central entrance and elegant interiors. The Mosque has three entrance porches to courtyard and the eastern porch has the remarkable intricate stone filigree or jaali work. Even filigree work on the windows and the arches is exquisite.  You will find seven mihrabs or prayer niches in the main prayer hall.

The cenotaph at Jama masjid is a transcendent blend of Indo Islamic architecture where Hindu and Muslim artisans together delivered an ethereal monument with Islamic ethos. 

Jami Masjid or Jama Masjid is a part of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
