Indra Sabha or Jain Cave 32, Ellora Caves, Maharashtra, India

Frame is of the Shikhara of Indra Sabha or Jain Cave 32 at Ellora.

When you visit in person one cannot miss the crowned manastambha or the monolithic elephant enclosed by a prakara wall in Jain Cave 32 or as popularly known since centuries Indra Sabha. Both the manastambha and the monolithic elephant seem similar in design to the ones found in the court of Kailasa or Hindu Cave 16.

You will find many shrines dedicated to Mahavira and other Jain divinities along with exquisitely carved pillars, large divine panels aesthetically sculpted in the upper level of Cave 32.

Ellora Caves located in Aurangabad district, Maharashtra, India is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. How to reach Ellora Caves?
